At Last: Master Pastelist!

Promoted from Signature Status by the Pastel Society of America
October 1, 2021

Today, the Pastel Society of America announced its 2021 “Master Pastelist” class—exactly 30 years to the day that I was first accepted membership. PSA sets the gold standard for the art of pastel and I couldn’t be more grateful and honored to be associated with this wonderful organization—through all these years!

What a journey it has been 🙏.

PSA is the oldest pastel society in America, hosting the premiere events from the most notable pastel artists. Members of PSA also exhibit in shows held in such countries as Italy, France, Russia, and China,

The society awards basic membership to artists who display these qualities: “technical acumen and creative use of pastel techniques.”

Admittance to the elevated status of Master Pastelist happens when:

“…a member in good standing accumulates three PSA annual exhibition awards. PSA annual exhibition awards are juried by a New York or national art professional, such as a curator or museum director.”

My congratulations to the other 2021 MP’s!!:

Michele Ashby PSA-MP
Barbara Delmonico PSA-MP
Kristin Divers PSA-MP
Katherine Irish PSA-MP
Deborah Quinn-Munson PSA-MP

Making my way:

PSA is welcoming a new group of Master Pastelists from the 2021 Enduring Brilliance! awards. We are proud of their consistent level of high quality work over the years!
