2022 Founders Award – TOP AWARD

Pastel Society of America’s 50th annual juried exhibition, “Enduring Brilliance”.

Good News

My work has received the ‘2022 Founders Award’ (top award) at the Pastel Society of America’s 50th annual juried exhibition, “Enduring Brilliance”.

“…the premier event for pastel artists worldwide, held at the National Arts Club in New York City”

It’s hard to express how extremely grateful I am to be the recipient of this award in honor of such an incredible woman, Flora Giffuni—founder and first president of the Pastel Society of America.

Dr. Louis Zona, chief curator at the Butler Institute of American Art put it beautifully when he said of Flora: “If the world of art had such designations, Flora Giffuni would be deemed the Patron Saint of Pastels.”

A big heartfelt THANK YOU to the Judge of Awards, Dr. Louis Zona and to the jurors of selection, Richard McKinley, Marcia Holmes and Nancie King Mertz.

And of course—THANK YOU to Jimmy Wright, Cindy Harisch and the entire crew at the PSA for your tireless pursuit in furthering the advancement of pastel in the art world!!🙏

If you find yourself in Manhattan these days, check out the show in person.

The show runs:

September 6-October 6, 2022
National Arts Club
15 Gramercy Park South
New York, NY
